Urgent Medical Advice
If you require urgent medical advice while the practice is closed, please contact NHS 111.
NHS 111 is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can:
- Provide urgent medical advice
- Direct you to the most appropriate NHS service
- Arrange an out-of-hours GP appointment where appropriate
- Refer you to an Urgent Treatment Centre if required
You can also access NHS 111 online for advice and support.
Medical Emergencies
If you or someone else is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, always call 999 immediately or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency Department.
Examples include:
- Severe chest pain
- Difficulty breathing
- Signs of a stroke
- Loss of consciousness
- Severe bleeding
- Serious injury
- Suspected sepsis
- Community Pharmacy Services
Many common illnesses can be treated without seeing a GP
Your local community pharmacy can provide expert advice and treatment for conditions such as:
- Coughs and colds
- Sore throats
- Earache
- Hay fever
- Minor skin conditions
- Urinary tract infections (where eligible)
- Insect bites and stings
Your pharmacist will also advise if you need to see another healthcare professional.
